Experiencing Dodona aims to demonstrate that the development of a site cannot be understood without taking into account its relationship with its surroundings and historical background. Based on premises of change and context the study examines the evolution of the shrine. At the same time the polyfunctionality of the site is analyzed, viewing Dodona not only as a religious center, but also a political, economic, and socio-cultural one.
