For the first time, China demonstrated its impressive political influence over the entire continent. In 2009, China surpassed the United States to become Africa's largest bilateral trading partner. Despite recent drops in the volume of Sino-African trade, following the 2014 peak of $210 billion, China has remained the leading partner in Africa." |
