Zusammenfassung: | "This work investigates women's emancipation writing in the second half of the nineteenth and the early twentieth centuries. Many novelists in various national literatures touched upon the theme of an emancipated woman in the long nineteenth century and at the fin de siècle. Philosophers, poets, writers, and journalists were concerned with this problem and began popularizing wholeheartedly the so-called "burning" questions. The new femininity was represented not only in the Christian context; many other traditions and cultures opened the discussion about the women's lot. This volume analyzes women's voices from different parts of the world--Turkey, England, the U.S., Italy, Russia, Spain, and others. Imagination, as it is believed, has no borders and is dialogical in its nature"-- |

Mako Citarella "This work investigates women's emancipation writing in the second half of the nineteenth and the early twentieth centuries. Imagination, as it is believed, has no borders and is dialogical in its nature"-- Geschichte 1850-1950 gnd rswk-swf Frauenemanzipation Motiv (DE-588)4113619-6 gnd rswk-swf Frauenliteratur (DE-588)4113622-6 gnd rswk-swf Literature, Modern / 19th century / History and criticism Literature / Women authors / History and criticism Sex role in literature Feminism and literature / History / 19th century Decadence (Literary movement) Feminism and literature Literature, Modern Literature / Women authors 1800-1899 Criticism, interpretation, etc History (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Frauenliteratur (DE-588)4113622-6 s Frauenemanzipation Motiv (DE-588)4113619-6 s Geschichte 1850-1950 z DE-604 Shabliy, Elena V.
