Zusammenfassung: | Long-run interactions between the economy and the natural environment are studied from all points of view. First, the aims of this overview are illustrated in Part I. Part II then explores and develops the concept of evolution, in particular distinguishing between evolution which does not involve the emergence of novelty, and evolution where novelty does occur. In Part III three types of time irreversibility are developed, and these concepts are used to show how time has been treated in the natural sciences, also typifying various schools of economic thought. Part IV is concerned with the economic modelling of these concepts. It extends and adapts neo-Austrian capital theory to provide a basis for the modelling of long-run economy-environment interactions. A heuristic simulation model is described, and its simulation results discussed. Part V draws some lessons from the earlier discussion and analysis. It also stresses the role and the importance of interdisciplinary work for the understanding of relationships between economic activity and the natural environment |

Proops 1st ed. 1990 Berlin, Heidelberg Springer Berlin Heidelberg 1990 1 Online-Ressource (XV, 240 p) txt rdacontent c rdamedia cr rdacarrier Long-run interactions between the economy and the natural environment are studied from all points of view. It also stresses the role and the importance of interdisciplinary work for the understanding of relationships between economic activity and the natural environment Environmental Economics Ecology Waste Water Technology / Water Pollution Control / Water Management / Aquatic Pollution Atmospheric Protection/Air Quality Control/Air Pollution Soil Science & Conservation Ecotoxicology Environmental economics Ecology Water pollution Air pollution Soil science Soil conservation Wiener Schule Wirtschaftswissenschaften (DE-588)4140691-6 gnd rswk-swf Sozialökologie (DE-588)4043208-7 gnd rswk-swf Umweltökonomie (DE-588)4061638-1 gnd rswk-swf Wirtschaftsentwicklung (DE-588)4066438-7 gnd rswk-swf Zeitfaktor (DE-588)4190602-0 gnd rswk-swf Produktion (DE-588)4047347-8 gnd rswk-swf Evolutionstheorie (DE-588)4071051-8 gnd rswk-swf Intertemporale Produktionstheorie (DE-588)4127602-4 gnd rswk-swf Wirtschaftstheorie (DE-588)4079351-5 gnd rswk-swf Kapitaltheorie (DE-588)4130460-3 gnd rswk-swf Evolutorische Wirtschaft (DE-588)4232912-7 gnd rswk-swf Evolution (DE-588)4071050-6 gnd rswk-swf Umwelt (DE-588)4061616-2 gnd rswk-swf Sozialökologie (DE-588)4043208-7 s Intertemporale Produktionstheorie (DE-588)4127602-4 s Wiener Schule Wirtschaftswissenschaften (DE-588)4140691-6 s Kapitaltheorie (DE-588)4130460-3 s DE-604 Evolution (DE-588)4071050-6 s Produktion (DE-588)4047347-8 s Umwelt (DE-588)4061616-2 s Evolutionstheorie (DE-588)4071051-8 s Wirtschaftsentwicklung (DE-588)4066438-7 s Evolutorische Wirtschaft (DE-588)4232912-7 s Zeitfaktor (DE-588)4190602-0 s Wirtschaftstheorie (DE-588)4079351-5 s Umweltökonomie (DE-588)4061638-1 s Proops, John L.R. aut Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 9783662025918 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 9783662025901 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 9783540526087 https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-662-02589-5 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext |
