Zusammenfassung: | Computational economics has been at the forefront in stimulating the de velopment of mathematical methodologies for the analysis and solution of complex, large-scale problems. The past decade, in particular, has witnessed a dramatic growth of interest in this area. Supported by the increasing avail ability of data and advances in computer architectures, the scale and scope of problems that can now be handled are unveiling new horizons in both theoretical modeling and policy analysis. Accompanying the activity in computational economics is a need for the unification, documentation, and presentation of fundamental methodologies for use by both researchers and practitioners. This volume aims to make a contribution in this direction. The focus of this book is on network economics. Physical networks are pervasive in today's society, be they in the form of transportation networks, telecommunication networks, energy pipelines, electric power networks, etc. Mathematical networks, on the other hand, may be used to represent not only physical networks but also interactions among economic agents. In many applications, the network representation of an economic equilibrium problem may be abstract in that the nodes of the network need not corre spond to locations in space and the links of the network to trade or travel routes |

In many applications, the network representation of an economic equilibrium problem may be abstract in that the nodes of the network need not corre spond to locations in space and the links of the network to trade or travel routes Economic Theory/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Methods Regional/Spatial Science Political Economy/Economic Systems Operations Research/Decision Theory Economic theory Regional economics Spatial economics Economic policy Economics Operations research Decision making Ökonometrie (DE-588)4132280-0 gnd rswk-swf Wirtschaft (DE-588)4066399-1 gnd rswk-swf Gleichgewicht (DE-588)4121372-5 gnd rswk-swf Gleichgewichtsmodell (DE-588)4125214-7 gnd rswk-swf Mathematische Methode (DE-588)4155620-3 gnd rswk-swf Variationsungleichung (DE-588)4187420-1 gnd rswk-swf Allgemeines Gleichgewichtsmodell (DE-588)4210294-7 gnd rswk-swf Wirtschaftsmathematik (DE-588)4066472-7 gnd rswk-swf Wirtschaftstheorie (DE-588)4079351-5 gnd rswk-swf Gleichgewicht (DE-588)4121372-5 s Wirtschaft (DE-588)4066399-1 s DE-604 Variationsungleichung (DE-588)4187420-1 s Ökonometrie (DE-588)4132280-0 s Gleichgewichtsmodell (DE-588)4125214-7 s Wirtschaftstheorie (DE-588)4079351-5 s Mathematische Methode (DE-588)4155620-3 s Wirtschaftsmathematik (DE-588)4066472-7 s Allgemeines Gleichgewichtsmodell (DE-588)4210294-7 s Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 9780792392934 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 9789401049641 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 9789401121798 https://doi.org/10.1007/978-94-011-2178-1 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext |
