On Salvador Dalì's Dream of Venus /Riccardo Venturi --Giving an edge to the beautiful line: Botticelli referenced in the works of contemporary artists to address issues of gender and global politics /Gabriel Montua "The recent exhibitions dedicated to Botticelli around the world show, more than ever, the significant and continued debate about the artist. Botticelli Past and Present – based on the proceedings of an international conference held at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2016 in conjunction with an exhibition exploring the reception of Botticelli’s art from its inception to the present day – engages with this debate. The book comprises four thematic chapters, spanning four centuries of Botticelli’s artistic fame and reception from the fifteenth century. Each chapter comprises a number of essays and includes a short introduction which positions them within the wider scholarly literature on Botticelli. The chapters are organised chronologically beginning with discussion of the artist and his working practice in his own time, moving onto the progressive rediscovery of his work from the late eighteenth to the turn of the twentieth century, through to his enduring impact on contemporary art and design. Expertly written by researchers and eminent art historians and richly illustrated throughout, the broad range of essays in this book make a valuable contribution to Botticelli studies."--from the back |

Expertly written by researchers and eminent art historians and richly illustrated throughout, the broad range of essays in this book make a valuable contribution to Botticelli studies."--from the back Botticelli, Sandro 1445-1510 (DE-588)118514008 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1450-2019 gnd rswk-swf Rezeption (DE-588)4049716-1 gnd rswk-swf Kunst (DE-588)4114333-4 gnd rswk-swf Design (DE-588)4011510-0 gnd rswk-swf Botticelli, Sandro / 1444 or 1445-1510 / Criticism and interpretation Botticelli, Sandro / 1444 or 1445-1510 / Influence Botticelli, Sandro Influence (Literary, artistic, etc.) Criticism, interpretation, etc (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift Victoria and Albert Museum 13.05.2016-14.05.2016 London gnd-content Botticelli, Sandro 1445-1510 (DE-588)118514008 p DE-604 Rezeption (DE-588)4049716-1 s Kunst (DE-588)4114333-4 s Design (DE-588)4011510-0 s Geschichte 1450-2019 z Debenedetti, Ana (DE-588)1030029016 edt Elam, Caroline 1945- (DE-588)132136058 edt Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe, PDF 978-1-78735-459-3 (DE-604)BV045449915 Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe, EPUB 978-1-78735-462-3 (DE-604)BV045449915 Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe, MOBI 978-1-78735-463-0 (DE-604)BV045449915 Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe, html 978-1-78735-464-7 (DE-604)BV045449915 V:DE-576;B:DE-16 application/pdf http://swbplus.bsz-bw.de/bsz1696293871inh.htm 20200530153414 Inhaltsverzeichnis SWB Datenaustausch application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=032235110&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis |
