Zusammenfassung: | Using the analogy of a devastating series of earthquakes, Davutoğlu provides a new theoretical approach, conceptualization, and methodology for understanding crisis in the post-Cold War era. In order to grasp the scale and scope of the ongoing crises we are experiencing today, Davutoğlu conceptualizes them as 'aftershocks', following in the wake of the four great 'quakes' that have shaken the world in recent times - namely, the geopolitical earthquake triggered by dissolution of the Soviet Union, 1991; the security earthquake, post- 9/11, 2001; the economic earthquake associated with the global economic crisis, 2008; and the structural earthquake of the Arab Spring, 2011. By contextualizing international order as being impacted by a number of intertwined processes, the book then looks to the possible futures ahead. Following his analysis of the ongoing systemic crisis, Davutoğlu forges a vision for a new order of global democracy, built from the rubble of the systemic earthquake |

spelling | Davutoğlu, Ahmet 1959- Verfasser (DE-588)1031171266 aut Systemic earthquake and the struggle for world order exclusive populism versus inclusive democracy Ahmet Davutoğlu (former prime minister of Turkey, professor of political science and international relations) ; English translation by Andrew Boord ; foreword by Richard Falk Cambridge ; New York ; Port Melbourne ; New Delhi ; Singapore Cambridge University Press 2020 xxiii, 306 Seiten txt rdacontent n rdamedia nc rdacarrier Using the analogy of a devastating series of earthquakes, Davutoğlu provides a new theoretical approach, conceptualization, and methodology for understanding crisis in the post-Cold War era. Following his analysis of the ongoing systemic crisis, Davutoğlu forges a vision for a new order of global democracy, built from the rubble of the systemic earthquake Geschichte 1990-2020 gnd rswk-swf World politics / 1989- Populism / History / 21st century Democracy International relations Zukunft (DE-588)4068097-6 gnd rswk-swf Demokratie (DE-588)4011413-2 gnd rswk-swf Instabilität (DE-588)4139195-0 gnd rswk-swf Weltordnung (DE-588)4126263-3 gnd rswk-swf Globalisierung (DE-588)4557997-0 gnd rswk-swf Sicherheit (DE-588)4054790-5 gnd rswk-swf Geopolitik (DE-588)4156741-9 gnd rswk-swf Global Governance (DE-588)4698151-2 gnd rswk-swf Politische Krise (DE-588)4046539-1 gnd rswk-swf Krise (DE-588)4033203-2 gnd rswk-swf Weltordnung (DE-588)4126263-3 s Globalisierung (DE-588)4557997-0 s Sicherheit (DE-588)4054790-5 s Geopolitik (DE-588)4156741-9 s DE-604 Instabilität (DE-588)4139195-0 s Global Governance (DE-588)4698151-2 s Krise (DE-588)4033203-2 s Demokratie (DE-588)4011413-2 s Zukunft (DE-588)4068097-6 s 1\p DE-604 Politische Krise (DE-588)4046539-1 s Geschichte 1990-2020 z 2\p DE-604 Boord, Andrew ca. 20./21.
