The chapters investigate the windows of opportunity arising in Myanmar and the ways in which the EU can contribute. This book first introduces Myanmar, setting the country within its relations with ASEAN and the EU, and subsequently debates the importance of diplomacy in the Asia-Pacific region, the processes that both the EU and the EU via ASEAN have activated and their limits and success in seeking to induce Myanmar to reconsider its past position.
