Gender A landmark publication in the social sciences, Linda L. Lindsey’s Gender is the most comprehensive textbook to explore gender sociologically, as a critical and fundamental dimension of a person’s identity, interactions, development, and role and status in society. Her teaching and research are under a gender and intersectional umbrella, including courses on diversity, inequality, globalization, and health and society. Publishing outlets include со-edited Women of Asia: Globalization, Development, and Gender Equity Sociological Quarterly, Preventing Ethnic Conflict, and Sociology, third edition. She presented at the UN Conference on Women in Beijing. A longtime volunteer, she works with agencies on behalf of women’s advocacy, health, and development. She is a past president of the Midwest Sociological Society and has been elected to Who’s Who in American Women and Who's Who in America. |
