T. WRIGHT, RICHARD BAUCKHAM, AND OTHERS, LEVERING SHOWS THAT THE
HISTORICAL
EVIDENCE VINDICATES THIS CLAIM. HE COMMENTS UPON THE RADICAL SHIFT IN
ESCHATOLOGICAL
AND MESSIANIC WORLDVIEW AMONG THE FIRST CHRISTIANS, AND HE
ARGUES
THAT THIS SHIFT HAS
ITS
ORIGIN IN CONCRETE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE RISEN JESUS. TAKING THE GOSPELS
