THE CREATORS Multiple Eisner Award-winner Frank Miller broke into the comics business as an artist in the late 1970s, landing various assignments with Gold Key, DC and Marvel before his landmark Daredevil run made him a star. During that tenure, he introduced the assassin Elektra, who became a major Marvel character in her own right In addition to assorted Elektra comics, Miller has also written and drawn Marvel characters such as Spider-Man, Captain America, Hulk, Punisher, Power Man, Iron Fist, Wolverine and John Carter, Warlord of Mars. Miller has returned to Daredevil on occasion, as writer of the acclaimed “Bom Again” run in Daredevil with artist David Mazzucchelli and the Daredevil: Man Without Fear limited series drawn by John Romita Jr. At DC Comics, Miller made a splash in 1986 with the wildly popular and hugely influential Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. In 1987, Miller and Mazzucchelli produced their “Batman: Year Onď story line, a revisionist version of Batman’s ongin. Miller has revisited Batman in projects such as The Dark Knight Strikes Again and All-Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder. At Dark Horse, Miller has created or co-created features such as the retro adventures of Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot (which became a TV series), the ancient military epic 300 (recently adapted as a major motion picture) and the stylized noir tales of Sin City. A 2005 movie adaptation of the latter property was a critical and commercial hit, co-directed by Miller and Robert Rodriguez. Klaus Janson is a veteran comic book artist best known as a distinctive and respected
inker. First making a name for himself on Marvel’s Defenders in the 1970s, Janson would go on to illustrate dozens of other Marvel and DC comics, notably two major collaborations with Frank Miller: Daredevil A HERO REDEFINED!
