Zusammenfassung: | L'age d'or: Originally entitled The Frozen Waters of Egotistical Calculation, a 1930 French surrealist comedy using a melange of strange and unrelated images in which a couple's attempts at fulfilling and consummating their romantic relationship are continually thwarted by the insanities of modern life, the sexual mores of family, bourgeois society, and the value system of the Roman Catholic Church Chien andalou: Filmed in the subjective language of the unconscious, this early silent avant-grade surrealistic film -- one of the first movies made independently by its creators on a shoestring budget, without studio financing -- was written over the course of a three-day exchange of fantasies and dreams between Louis Buñuel and artist Salvador Dalí. Featuring no plot in the conventional sense of the word, this short film uses dream logic in narrative flow that can be described in terms of Freudian free association, presenting a series of tenuously related scenes, the chronology of the film disjointed, jumping from the initial "once upon a time" to "eight years later" without the events or characters changing very much Propósitio de Buñuel: A biographical documentary study about the life of director Luis Buñuel, using fragments of Buñuel's films, photographs and documents -- some unpublished --, home videos of Buñuel, fragments of his autobiography El último suspiro (1982), and seventy hours of recording in Paris, New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City which collected the testimony of people who knew him, or academic specialists on Buñuel looking into the personality and spirit of the work of filmmaker of Calanda, Spain |

Featuring no plot in the conventional sense of the word, this short film uses dream logic in narrative flow that can be described in terms of Freudian free association, presenting a series of tenuously related scenes, the chronology of the film disjointed, jumping from the initial "once upon a time" to "eight years later" without the events or characters changing very much Propósitio de Buñuel: A biographical documentary study about the life of director Luis Buñuel, using fragments of Buñuel's films, photographs and documents -- some unpublished --, home videos of Buñuel, fragments of his autobiography El último suspiro (1982), and seventy hours of recording in Paris, New York, Los Angeles and Mexico City which collected the testimony of people who knew him, or academic specialists on Buñuel looking into the personality and spirit of the work of filmmaker of Calanda, Spain BBFC certificate: 15 ; Contains moderate violence and sex references; suitable only for persons of 15 years or over Contains Blu-ray disc (PCM mono audio) and DVD disc (Dolby Digital mono audio); original aspect ratio 1.19:1 French language with optional English subtitles Man-woman relationships / France / Drama Fetishism (Sexual behavior) / France / Drama Anti-Catholicism / France / Drama Anti-clericalism / France / Drama Dreams / France / Drama Mutilation / Drama Fantasy drama Foreign films Motion pictures, French Dismemberment / France / Drama Violence / France / Drama Cross-dressing / France / Drama Anti-Catholicism Anti-clericalism Cross-dressing Dismemberment Dreams Fetishism (Sexual behavior) Man-woman relationships Mutilation Violence France Feature films Comedy films Experimental films Surrealist films Erotic films Parody films Silent films Independent films Documentary films Short films Low budget films Drama Buñuel, Luis 1900-1983 (DE-588)118517465 drt Dalí, Salvador 1904-1989 (DE-588)118523481 drt Un chien andalou digital optical stereo Dolby rda PAL rda video file DVD video all regions rda video file Blu-ray all regions rda |
