Es werden Abhängigkeiten zwischen den Produktionsbedingungen, den Produktionsprozessen und der ästhetischen Ausgestaltung der Werke ermittelt und diskutiert. Hierfür wird zunächst eine quantitative Rekonstruktion der Musical-Uraufführungen im deutschsprachigen Raum im Zeitraum von Sommer 2003 bis Sommer 2013 vorgenommen. In einem zweiten Schritt wird eine Auswahl von sieben Uraufführungen einer qualitativen Werkbetrachtung unterzogen und unter ästhetischen und dramaturgischen Gesichtspunkten analytisch skizziert. Im letzten Schritt werden die Einblicke in die Rahmenbedingungen und Produktionsprozesse anhand von 18 Expert/inn/eninterviews vertieft. Im Rahmen einer dispositivanalytischen Betrachtung werden die Ergebnisse strukturiert aufgearbeitet. Hierfür wird zunächst eine quantitative Rekonstruktion der Musical-Uraufführungen im deutschsprachigen Raum im Zeitraum von Sommer 2003 bis Sommer 2013 vorgenommen. In einem zweiten Schritt wird eine Auswahl von sieben Uraufführungen einer qualitativen Werkbetrachtung unterzogen und unter ästhetischen und dramaturgischen Gesichtspunkten analytisch skizziert. Im letzten Schritt werden die Einblicke in die Rahmenbedingungen und Produktionsprozesse anhand von 18 Expert/inn/eninterviews vertieft. Im Rahmen einer dispositivanalytischen Betrachtung werden die Ergebnisse strukturiert aufgearbeitet. Dabei können strukturelle Abhängigkeiten sowohl von der Finanzierungsform als auch von der Wahl des Spielbetriebs festgestellt werden. ; ger The dissertation project traces the circumstances under which artists and producers create and produce new musicals in German-speaking countries. It explores and discusses dependencies between the production circumstances, the development processes, and the aesthetics of the works. The first step is to explore the musical market by a quantitative reconstruction of musical world premieres in German-speaking countries from summer 2003 to summer 2013. In a second step, seven productions are analyzed regarding their aesthetic and dramatic composition. In a third and final step, 18 producers, authors, composers, and other experts are interviewed to deepen the understanding of the production circumstances and the production processes.
