The first approach is a "plant chromosome vector" system, which allows the introduction of desired genes or DNA into target sites on the chromosome vector, particularly by sequence-specific recombination. The second approach is "genome-editing," which makes it possible to introduce mutations into any of the genes of DNA that we wish to change. In addition, this book also covers other related techniques used to accelerate progress in plant chromosome and genome engineering.
