Sharf ah Legal Practice in Nigeria 1956-1983
This book contains an in-depth study of the Sharfah legal system
generally, and its practice in Nigeria in particular in 1956 to 1983. The
book relates fully the meaning and scope of the Sharf ah and proceeds to
elucidate the general and legal precepts of the Shariah: its legal theory
and legal practice; the development of Sharfah legal practice, and Legal
History in Nigeria vis-a-vis the Sharfah legal practice.
The subject-matter of this book is exhaustively examined, with ample,
relevant data, in six chapters:
• Introduction covering meaning, scope, general and legal precepts
of the Sharfah; legal theory and legal practice; development of
Sharfah legal practice, etc.
