Zusammenfassung: | In the first decades of the seventeenth century, three artists from Utrecht became famous for the revolutionary innovations they introduced to the art of painting, following their return from Rome. These artists were Dirck van Baburen, Hendrick ter Brugghen and Gerard van Honthorst. In the Eternal City they had become captivated by the work by Caravaggio with life-size and realistic figures and dramatic contrasts between dark and light. Back in Utrecht they in turn inspired other artists such as Abraham Bloemaert. Some of their works became hugely popular among print makers and the general public. With the exhibition Jokes and Jest, Centraal Museum explores the influence of printmaking and the success of Utrecht's Caravaggisti painters - a theme that has remained underexposed so far |

With the exhibition Jokes and Jest, Centraal Museum explores the influence of printmaking and the success of Utrecht's Caravaggisti painters - a theme that has remained underexposed so far Verkolje, Johannes 1650-1693 (DE-588)138807515 gnd rswk-swf Gole, Jacob 1647-1724 (DE-588)122038355 gnd rswk-swf Marolles, Michel de 1600-1681 (DE-588)124924719 gnd rswk-swf Bloemaert, Cornelis Abrahamsz 1603-1692 (DE-588)119176629 gnd rswk-swf Matham, Theodor 1605-1676 (DE-588)121751627 gnd rswk-swf Vorsterman, Lucas 1595-1675 (DE-588)120564939 gnd rswk-swf Dalem, Cornelis van 1534-1573 (DE-588)124559824 gnd rswk-swf Caravaggio, Michelangelo Merisi da 1571-1610 (DE-588)118519034 gnd rswk-swf Piloty, Ferdinand 1828-1895 (DE-588)116185910 gnd rswk-swf Pontius, Paulus 1603-1658 (DE-588)103085297 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1600-1700 Utrechter Caravaggisten (DE-588)4187291-5 gnd rswk-swf Rezeption (DE-588)4049716-1 gnd rswk-swf Reproduktionsgrafik (DE-588)4115750-3 gnd rswk-swf Niederlande Painting, Dutch / Italian influences / Exhibitions Painting, Dutch / 17th century / Exhibitions Prints, Dutch / 17th century / Exhibitions Painting, Baroque / Netherlands / Utrecht / Exhibitions Caravaggio, Michelangelo Merisi da / 1573-1610 / Influence / Exhibitions Painting, Dutch / Netherlands / Utrecht / 17th century / Exhibitions Caravaggio, Michelangelo Merisi da / (1573-1610) Exhibition catalogs (DE-588)4135467-9 Ausstellungskatalog gnd-content (DE-588)4135467-9 Ausstellungskatalog Centraal Museum Utrecht 19.05.2017-10.09.2017 Utrecht gnd-content (DE-588)4145395-5 Bildband gnd-content Utrechter Caravaggisten (DE-588)4187291-5 s Reproduktionsgrafik (DE-588)4115750-3 s DE-604 Caravaggio, Michelangelo Merisi da 1571-1610 (DE-588)118519034 p Rezeption (DE-588)4049716-1 s Vorsterman, Lucas 1595-1675 (DE-588)120564939 p Marolles, Michel de 1600-1681 (DE-588)124924719 p Matham, Theodor 1605-1676 (DE-588)121751627 p Gole, Jacob 1647-1724 (DE-588)122038355 p Bloemaert, Cornelis Abrahamsz 1603-1692 (DE-588)119176629 p Verkolje, Johannes 1650-1693 (DE-588)138807515 p Pontius, Paulus 1603-1658 (DE-588)103085297 p Piloty, Ferdinand 1828-1895 (DE-588)116185910 p Dalem, Cornelis van 1534-1573 (DE-588)124559824 p Bruijne, Rozanne de aut Manuth, Volker 1956- (DE-588)113596855 aut Centraal Museum Utrecht (DE-588)2074866-8 isb his SWB Datenaustausch application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=029920221&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis |
