Zusammenfassung: | "This volume is the result of a conference held by the Asan Institute for Policy Studies in November, 2011. Organized in the aftermath of the crisis presented by the triple disaster that struck the Tohoku region of Japan on March 11 of the previous year: an earthquake, a tsunami, and a nuclear meltdown. The conference had as its overarching theme 'Japan in Crisis: What Will It Take for Japan to Rise Again?' Authors began by addressing the question of what it would take for Japan to 'recover' from not only from 3/11 but also more than 20 years of nearly unilateral economic stagnation, political fumbling, and deterioration in the country's regional and global influence. The Asan Institute for Policy Studies is an independent think tank located in Seoul, South Korea, that provides innovative policy solutions and spearheads public discourse on many of the core issues that Korea, East Asia, and the global community face. The goal of the institute is not only to offer policy solutions but also to train experts in public diplomacy and related fields in order to strengthen Korea's capacity to better tackle some of the most pressing problems affecting the country, the region and the world today."--Provided by publisher |

Pempel "This volume is the result of a conference held by the Asan Institute for Policy Studies in November, 2011. The goal of the institute is not only to offer policy solutions but also to train experts in public diplomacy and related fields in order to strengthen Korea's capacity to better tackle some of the most pressing problems affecting the country, the region and the world today."--Provided by publisher Kernkraftwerk Fukushima (DE-588)7857290-3 gnd rswk-swf Internationale Politik Politik Auswirkung (DE-588)4112646-4 gnd rswk-swf Erdbeben (DE-588)4015134-7 gnd rswk-swf Tsunami (DE-588)4261303-6 gnd rswk-swf Naturkatastrophe (DE-588)4041387-1 gnd rswk-swf Wirtschaftskrise (DE-588)4066466-1 gnd rswk-swf Radioaktive Kontamination (DE-588)4136519-7 gnd rswk-swf Kernschmelzen (DE-588)4163629-6 gnd rswk-swf Reaktorunfall (DE-588)4195666-7 gnd rswk-swf Fukushima (DE-588)4332074-0 gnd rswk-swf Japan (DE-588)4028495-5 gnd rswk-swf Japan / Politics and government / 21st century Japan / Relations International relations Politics and government Japan 2000-2099 (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift gnd-content Japan (DE-588)4028495-5 g Naturkatastrophe (DE-588)4041387-1 s Erdbeben (DE-588)4015134-7 s Tsunami (DE-588)4261303-6 s Auswirkung (DE-588)4112646-4 s 1\p DE-604 Fukushima (DE-588)4332074-0 g Kernschmelzen (DE-588)4163629-6 s Radioaktive Kontamination (DE-588)4136519-7 s 2\p DE-604 Wirtschaftskrise (DE-588)4066466-1 s 3\p DE-604 Kernkraftwerk Fukushima (DE-588)7857290-3 b Reaktorunfall (DE-588)4195666-7 s 4\p DE-604 Bong, Youngshik Sonstige (DE-588)1127607286 oth Pempel, T.
