Zusammenfassung: | Iberia stands at the center of key trends in Atlantic and world histories, largely because Portugal and Spain were the first European kingdoms to 'go global'. The Early Modern Hispanic World engages with new ways of thinking about the early modern Hispanic past, as a field of study that has grown exponentially in recent years. It focuses predominantly on questions of how people understood the rapidly changing world in which they lived - how they defined, visualized, and constructed communities from family and city to kingdom and empire. To do so, it incorporates voices from across the Hispanic World and across disciplines. The volume considers the dynamic relationships between circulation and fixedness, space and place, and how new methodologies are reshaping global history, and Spain's place in it |

The volume considers the dynamic relationships between circulation and fixedness, space and place, and how new methodologies are reshaping global history, and Spain's place in it Geschichte 1700-1800 Geschichte 1500-1600 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte Kolonie Social change / Spain / Historiography Social change / Portugal / Historiography Spanien Spain / History / House of Austria, 1516-1700 / Historiography Spain / History / 18th century / Historiography Portugal / History / Period of discoveries, 1385-1580 / Historiography Portugal / History / Modern, 1580- / Historiography Spain / Colonies / Historiography Portugal / Colonies / Historiography Spain / Social conditions / Historiography Portugal / Social conditions / Historiography Spanien (DE-588)4055964-6 gnd rswk-swf Hispanoamerika (DE-588)4194079-9 gnd rswk-swf Portugal (DE-588)4046843-4 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Spanien (DE-588)4055964-6 g Portugal (DE-588)4046843-4 g Hispanoamerika (DE-588)4194079-9 g Geschichte 1500-1600 z DE-604 Lynn, Kimberly (DE-588)104228430X edt Rowe, Erin Kathleen 1974- (DE-588)142593621 edt Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe, Hardcover 978-1-107-10928-5 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe, Paperback 978-1-107-52145-2 https://doi.org/10.1017/9781316271513 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext https://www.recensio.net/r/e607ca0b64124a738cd8a08cd8de6bd7 rezensiert in: Nuova Rivista Storica, 103 (2019), 2, S. 818-821 Rezension 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
