An American’s view of trans* emergence in Africa and feminist responses; Chloe Schwenke.- As part of the emerging new research on civic innovation, this book explores how sexual politics and gender relations play out in feminist struggles around body politics in Brazil, Colombia, India, Iran, Mexico, Nepal, Turkey, Nicaragua, as well as in East Africa, Latin America and global institutions and networks. From diverse disciplinary perspectives, the book looks at how feminists are engaged in a complex struggle for democratic power in a neoliberal age and at how resistance is integral to possibilities for change. In making visible resistances to dominant economic and social policies, the book highlights how such struggles are both gendered and gendering bodies. The chapters explore struggles for healthy environments, sexual health and reproductive rights, access to abortion, an end to gender-based violence, the human rights of LGBTIQA persons, the recognition of indigenous territories and all peoples’ rights to care, love and work freely. The book sets out the violence, hopes, contradictions and ways forward in these civic innovations, resistances and connections across the globe |

The book sets out the violence, hopes, contradictions and ways forward in these civic innovations, resistances and connections across the globe Feminismus Politische Wissenschaft Wirtschaftsentwicklung Political science Political theory Feminist theory Sociology Political sociology Human bodyxSocial aspects Economic development Social change Sex (Psychology) Gender expression Gender identity Sozialer Wandel (DE-588)4077587-2 gnd rswk-swf Gender Mainstreaming (DE-588)4845903-3 gnd rswk-swf Geschlechtersoziologie (DE-588)1025228928 gnd rswk-swf Feminismus (DE-588)4222126-2 gnd rswk-swf Geschlechterpolitik (DE-588)4556952-6 gnd rswk-swf Neoliberalismus (DE-588)4171438-6 gnd rswk-swf (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Geschlechterpolitik (DE-588)4556952-6 s Neoliberalismus (DE-588)4171438-6 s DE-604 Geschlechtersoziologie (DE-588)1025228928 s Sozialer Wandel (DE-588)4077587-2 s Feminismus (DE-588)4222126-2 s Gender Mainstreaming (DE-588)4845903-3 s 1\p DE-604 Harcourt, Wendy 1959- (DE-588)171177576 edt Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe 978-1-137-47780-4 Digitalisierung UB Bamberg - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=029444409&sequence=000002&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
