A curtain of silence thus descended on that vital phase of the Allied struggle against the European Axis. From the point of view of Germany's clandestine war effort, the situation was slightly different because the Reich had lost the war; even so, the archives of the Abwehr, as the Amt/Ausland of the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht, or Foreign Department of the Armed Forces High Command, was known, could not be located, and it was logically assumed that the Germans had destroyed them before the war ended Introduction to the American Edition -- 1) Target: Brazil -- 2) "Alfredo" and the "Bolívar" network -- 3) The Bolívar tangents -- 4) "King" and the Message Center Brazil -- 5) Swastika and sigma -- 6) The Hungarian connection -- 7)The São Paulo listening post -- 8) The Sarziczny case -- 9) Pear Harbor and its consequences -- 10) The Allied counterattack -- 11) The collapse -- 12) "Captain Garcia" and the greenshirts -- 13) The Buenos Aires-São Paulo-Toronto Circuit -- 14) The Abwehr's last salvo in Brazil World War (1939-1945) fast 1930-1945 fast Geschichte 1939 gnd rswk-swf HISTORY / Europe / Western bisacsh Secret service fast Weltkrieg (1939-1945) World War, 1939-1945 Secret service Germany World War, 1939-1945 Brazil Zweiter Weltkrieg (DE-588)4079167-1 gnd rswk-swf Spionage (DE-588)4056287-6 gnd rswk-swf Geheimkrieg (DE-588)4470644-3 gnd rswk-swf Brasilien Deutschland Europa Brasilien (DE-588)4008003-1 gnd rswk-swf Deutschland (DE-588)4011882-4 gnd rswk-swf Brasilien (DE-588)4008003-1 g Spionage (DE-588)4056287-6 s Zweiter Weltkrieg (DE-588)4079167-1 s Deutschland (DE-588)4011882-4 g 1\p DE-604 Geheimkrieg (DE-588)4470644-3 s 2\p DE-604 Geschichte 1939 z 3\p DE-604 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
