Zusammenfassung: | Evolutionary developmental biology, or 'evo-devo', is the study of the relationship between evolution and development. Dealing specifically with the generative mechanisms of organismal form, evo-devo goes straight to the core of the developmental origin of variation, the raw material on which natural selection (and random drift) can work. Evolving Pathways brings together contributions that represent a diversity of approaches. Topics range from developmental genetics to comparative morphology of animals and plants alike, and also include botany and palaeontology, two disciplines for which the potential to be examined from an evo-devo perspective has largely been ignored until now. Researchers and graduate students will find this book a valuable overview of current research as we begin to fill a major gap in our perception of evolutionary change |

Chipman -- Evolution of neurogenesis in arthropods / Angelika Stollewerk -- Arthropod appendages: a prime example for the evolution of morphological diversity and innovation / Nikola-Michael Prpic and Wim G.M. Damen -- Ontogeny of the spiralian brain / Claus Nielsen Evolutionary developmental biology, or 'evo-devo', is the study of the relationship between evolution and development. Researchers and graduate students will find this book a valuable overview of current research as we begin to fill a major gap in our perception of evolutionary change Evolutionary developmental biology Evolution (DE-588)4071050-6 gnd rswk-swf Phylogenie (DE-588)4076110-1 gnd rswk-swf Entwicklungsbiologie (DE-588)4152440-8 gnd rswk-swf Evolutionsbiologie (DE-588)4153283-1 gnd rswk-swf Ontogenie (DE-588)4043565-9 gnd rswk-swf Evolution 2.x (DE-588)4830262-4 gnd rswk-swf Evolutionstheorie (DE-588)4071051-8 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Phylogenie (DE-588)4076110-1 s Ontogenie (DE-588)4043565-9 s Evolutionstheorie (DE-588)4071051-8 s 2\p DE-604 Evolutionsbiologie (DE-588)4153283-1 s Entwicklungsbiologie (DE-588)4152440-8 s Evolution (DE-588)4071050-6 s 3\p DE-604 Evolution 2.x (DE-588)4830262-4 s 4\p DE-604 Fusco, Giuseppe edt Minelli, Alessandro edt Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-87500-4 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-1-107-40545-5 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511541582 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
