Zusammenfassung: | Most people afflicted by cancer will experience cognitive impairment, sometimes referred to as 'chemobrain' or 'chemofog', due to the various direct and indirect effects of their disease and its treatment. In addition, patients with primary or metastatic tumors of the brain experience direct neurologic symptoms due, for example, to the location of their disease, surgical intervention, and the late effects of treatment such as radiotherapy. The aim of this book is to serve as a resource for health care professionals working with cancer patients who experience cognitive changes as a result of their cancer and its treatment. It provides practical information to help improve care by reviewing and describing brain-behavior relationships; research-based evidence on cognitive changes that occur with various cancers and cancer treatments; assessment techniques, including neurocognitive assessment and neuroimaging techniques; and intervention strategies for affected patients. In short, it will explain how to identify, assess and treat these conditions |

[et al.] -- Neurocognitive testing in clinical trials / Jennifer A. Smith and Jeffrey S. Wefel Most people afflicted by cancer will experience cognitive impairment, sometimes referred to as 'chemobrain' or 'chemofog', due to the various direct and indirect effects of their disease and its treatment. In short, it will explain how to identify, assess and treat these conditions Cancer / Complications Cancer / Treatment / Complications Cognition disorders / Etiology Kognitive Störung (DE-588)4164473-6 gnd rswk-swf Krebs Medizin (DE-588)4073781-0 gnd rswk-swf Kognitive Psychologie (DE-588)4073586-2 gnd rswk-swf Arzneimittelnebenwirkung (DE-588)4003134-2 gnd rswk-swf Cytostatikum (DE-588)4068347-3 gnd rswk-swf Sekundärkrankheit (DE-588)4131705-1 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Krebs Medizin (DE-588)4073781-0 s Sekundärkrankheit (DE-588)4131705-1 s Kognitive Störung (DE-588)4164473-6 s 2\p DE-604 Cytostatikum (DE-588)4068347-3 s Arzneimittelnebenwirkung (DE-588)4003134-2 s 3\p DE-604 Kognitive Psychologie (DE-588)4073586-2 s 4\p DE-604 Meyers, Christina A. edt Perry, James R. edt Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-85482-5 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-1-107-41181-4 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511545900 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
