Zusammenfassung: | Biodiversity is recognised to be of global importance, yet species and habitats continue to be under increasing pressure from human-induced influences. Environmental concerns are high on the political agenda, driving increased legislation to protect the natural environment. The starting point for much of this legislation is the requirement for a comprehensive biodiversity audit. For those needing to undertake such audits, this Handbook, first published in 2005, provides standard procedures which will enable practitioners to better monitor the condition of the biodiversity resource, resulting in improved data upon which to base future policy decisions and actions. Organised in three parts, the Handbook first addresses planning, covering method selection, experimental design, sampling strategy, and data analysis and evaluation. The second part describes survey, evaluation and monitoring methods for a broad range of habitats. Part three considers species and provides information on general methods before addressing specific methods of survey and monitoring for the major taxonomic groups |

Part three considers species and provides information on general methods before addressing specific methods of survey and monitoring for the major taxonomic groups Biodiversity / Research / Methodology Biodiversity conservation Tierart (DE-588)4185459-7 gnd rswk-swf Biomonitoring (DE-588)4224449-3 gnd rswk-swf Planung (DE-588)4046235-3 gnd rswk-swf Biodiversität (DE-588)4601495-0 gnd rswk-swf Methode (DE-588)4038971-6 gnd rswk-swf Wissenschaftliche Beobachtung (DE-588)4315996-5 gnd rswk-swf Artenschutz (DE-588)4112598-8 gnd rswk-swf Pflanzenart (DE-588)4297311-9 gnd rswk-swf Methodologie (DE-588)4139716-2 gnd rswk-swf Biodiversität (DE-588)4601495-0 s Wissenschaftliche Beobachtung (DE-588)4315996-5 s Planung (DE-588)4046235-3 s 1\p DE-604 Tierart (DE-588)4185459-7 s Biomonitoring (DE-588)4224449-3 s Methode (DE-588)4038971-6 s 2\p DE-604 Pflanzenart (DE-588)4297311-9 s 3\p DE-604 Artenschutz (DE-588)4112598-8 s Methodologie (DE-588)4139716-2 s 4\p DE-604 Hill, David A. 1958- edt Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-53072-9 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-82368-5 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511542084 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
