Zusammenfassung: | Penetration of light into aquatic ecosystems is greatly affected by the absorption and scattering processes that take place within the water. Thus within any water body, the intensity and colour of the light field changes greatly with depth and this has a marked influence on both the total productivity of, and the kinds of plant that predominate in, the ecosystem. This study presents an integrated and coherent treatment of the key role of light in aquatic ecosystems. It ranges from the physics of light transmission within water, through the biochemistry and physiology of aquatic photosynthesis, to the ecological relationships which depend on the underwater light climate |

Kirk Light & Photosynthesis in Aquatic Ecosystems Second edition Cambridge Cambridge University Press 1994 1 online resource (xvi, 509 pages) txt rdacontent c rdamedia cr rdacarrier Title from publisher's bibliographic system (viewed on 05 Oct 2015) Penetration of light into aquatic ecosystems is greatly affected by the absorption and scattering processes that take place within the water. Thus within any water body, the intensity and colour of the light field changes greatly with depth and this has a marked influence on both the total productivity of, and the kinds of plant that predominate in, the ecosystem. This study presents an integrated and coherent treatment of the key role of light in aquatic ecosystems. It ranges from the physics of light transmission within water, through the biochemistry and physiology of aquatic photosynthesis, to the ecological relationships which depend on the underwater light climate Photosynthesis Plants / Effect of underwater light on Aquatic plants / Ecophysiology Underwater light Aquatisches Ökosystem (DE-588)4293663-9 gnd rswk-swf Meerespflanzen (DE-588)4038323-4 gnd rswk-swf Photosynthese (DE-588)4045936-6 gnd rswk-swf Wasserpflanzen (DE-588)4064761-4 gnd rswk-swf Meeresökosystem (DE-588)4341298-1 gnd rswk-swf Licht (DE-588)4035596-2 gnd rswk-swf Aquatisches Ökosystem (DE-588)4293663-9 s Licht (DE-588)4035596-2 s 1\p DE-604 Photosynthese (DE-588)4045936-6 s 2\p DE-604 Meeresökosystem (DE-588)4341298-1 s 3\p DE-604 Meerespflanzen (DE-588)4038323-4 s 4\p DE-604 5\p DE-604 Wasserpflanzen (DE-588)4064761-4 s 6\p DE-604 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-45353-0 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-45966-2 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511623370 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 5\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 6\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
