Zusammenfassung: | The 1990s have seen dramatic restructuring of state social provision in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia. This has occurred largely because of the rise of market liberalism, which challenges the role of the state. This important book examines the impact of changes in social policy regimes on gender roles and relations. Structured thematically and systematically comparative, it analyses three key policy areas: labor markets, income maintenance and reproductive rights. Largely driven by issues of equality, it considers the role of the state as a site for gender and sexual politics at a time when primacy is given to the market, developing an argument about social citizenship in the process. Eminent scholars in the field, Julia O'Connor, Ann Orloff and Sheila Shaver make a landmark contribution to debates about social policy and gender relations in this era of economic restructuring and deregulation |

States, Markets, Families The 1990s have seen dramatic restructuring of state social provision in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia. Eminent scholars in the field, Julia O'Connor, Ann Orloff and Sheila Shaver make a landmark contribution to debates about social policy and gender relations in this era of economic restructuring and deregulation Geschichte 1990-1999 gnd rswk-swf Frau Politik Social policy Women / Government policy Liberalism Social planning Public welfare Familienpolitik (DE-588)4016418-4 gnd rswk-swf Internationaler Vergleich (DE-588)4120509-1 gnd rswk-swf Sozialpolitik (DE-588)4055879-4 gnd rswk-swf Sozialstaat (DE-588)4055896-4 gnd rswk-swf Geschlechterrolle (DE-588)4071776-8 gnd rswk-swf Reform (DE-588)4115716-3 gnd rswk-swf Englisches Sprachgebiet (DE-588)4113441-2 gnd rswk-swf Englisches Sprachgebiet (DE-588)4113441-2 g Sozialpolitik (DE-588)4055879-4 s Familienpolitik (DE-588)4016418-4 s Geschichte 1990-1999 z 1\p DE-604 Sozialstaat (DE-588)4055896-4 s Reform (DE-588)4115716-3 s 2\p DE-604 Geschlechterrolle (DE-588)4071776-8 s Internationaler Vergleich (DE-588)4120509-1 s 3\p DE-604 Orloff, Ann Shola Sonstige oth Shaver, Sheila Sonstige oth Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-63092-4 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-63881-4 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511597114 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
