Zusammenfassung: | Managing Knowledge reverses the status quo argument that organisational change is driven by the specific demands of large companies. Instead of viewing firms as the catalysts for gradual change, Albert and Bradley argue that expert professionals have fuelled a break away from the traditional organisational structure to an organisational structure at the heart of which is an agent and/or an agency system. The authors draw our attention to the growing phenomenon of atypical work manifested in workforce flexibility, mobility, the feminisation of professional employment, and technological changes. They focus upon a group of knowledge-based employees - experts - who increasingly have influence over work and wealth creation. Case studies are developed from companies including AT and T, the Hollywood film industry, London accounting firms, and specialised agencies such as Labforce and Knowledge Net |

Agency employment and search costs Managing Knowledge reverses the status quo argument that organisational change is driven by the specific demands of large companies. Case studies are developed from companies including AT and T, the Hollywood film industry, London accounting firms, and specialised agencies such as Labforce and Knowledge Net Information technology / Management Knowledge acquisition (Expert systems) / Management Commercial agents Expertise Specialists Professional employees Women in the professions Anreizsystem (DE-588)4112532-0 gnd rswk-swf Experte (DE-588)4071081-6 gnd rswk-swf Wissensmanagement (DE-588)4561842-2 gnd rswk-swf Organisatorisches Lernen (DE-588)4198012-8 gnd rswk-swf Lohnform (DE-588)4168068-6 gnd rswk-swf Informationstechnik (DE-588)4026926-7 gnd rswk-swf Wissenserwerb (DE-588)4241169-5 gnd rswk-swf Unternehmen (DE-588)4061963-1 gnd rswk-swf Beruf (DE-588)4005857-8 gnd rswk-swf Management (DE-588)4037278-9 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4151278-9 Einführung gnd-content Unternehmen (DE-588)4061963-1 s Organisatorisches Lernen (DE-588)4198012-8 s Wissensmanagement (DE-588)4561842-2 s 2\p DE-604 Experte (DE-588)4071081-6 s Informationstechnik (DE-588)4026926-7 s Lohnform (DE-588)4168068-6 s 3\p DE-604 Anreizsystem (DE-588)4112532-0 s 4\p DE-604 Wissenserwerb (DE-588)4241169-5 s Management (DE-588)4037278-9 s 5\p DE-604 Beruf (DE-588)4005857-8 s 6\p DE-604 Bradley, Keith Sonstige oth Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-56150-1 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-59887-3 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511582486 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 5\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 6\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
