Zusammenfassung: | This edited volume offers scholarship on economic rights by leading scholars in the fields of economics, law, and political science. It analyzes the central features of economic rights: their conceptual, measurement, and policy dimensions. In its introduction, the book provides a conceptualization of economic rights based on a three-pronged definition: the right to a decent standard of living, the right to work, and the right to basic income support for people who cannot work. Subsequent chapters correct existing conceptual mistakes in the literature, provide new measurement techniques with country rankings, and analyze policy implementation at the international, regional, national, and local levels. While it forms a cohesive whole, the book is nevertheless rich in contending perspectives |

While it forms a cohesive whole, the book is nevertheless rich in contending perspectives Menschenrecht Wirtschaftspolitik Distributive justice Human rights Basic needs Economic policy Social policy Soziale Rechte (DE-588)4473985-0 gnd rswk-swf Kulturelle Rechte (DE-588)4798611-6 gnd rswk-swf Menschenrecht (DE-588)4074725-6 gnd rswk-swf Wirtschaft (DE-588)4066399-1 gnd rswk-swf Soziales Grundrecht (DE-588)4181928-7 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift 2005 Storrs, Conn. gnd-content 2\p (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift 2005 Storrs Conn. gnd-content Soziale Rechte (DE-588)4473985-0 s Kulturelle Rechte (DE-588)4798611-6 s 3\p DE-604 Menschenrecht (DE-588)4074725-6 s Wirtschaft (DE-588)4066399-1 s 4\p DE-604 Soziales Grundrecht (DE-588)4181928-7 s 5\p DE-604 Hertel, Shareen edt Minkler, Lanse edt Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-69082-9 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-87055-9 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511511257 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 5\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
