Zusammenfassung: | With increasing greenhouse gas emissions, we are embarked on an unprecedented experiment with an uncertain outcome for the future of the planet. The Kyoto Protocol serves as an initial step through 2012 to mitigate the threats posed by global climate change. A second step is needed, and policy-makers, scholars, business people, and environmentalists have begun debating the structure of the successor to the Kyoto agreement. Written by a team of leading scholars in economics, law, and international relations, this book contributes to this debate by examining the merits of six alternative international architectures for global climate policy. Architectures for Agreement offers the reader a uniquely wide-ranging menu of options for post-Kyoto climate policy, with a concern throughout to learn from past experience in order to maximize opportunities for future success in the real, 'second-best' world. It will be an essential reference for scholars, policy-makers, and students interested in climate policy |

Architectures for an international global climate change agreement : lessons for the policy community / Joseph E. Aldy and Robert N. Stavins With increasing greenhouse gas emissions, we are embarked on an unprecedented experiment with an uncertain outcome for the future of the planet. It will be an essential reference for scholars, policy-makers, and students interested in climate policy Rahmenübereinkommen der Vereinten Nationen über Klimaänderungen Kyoto-Protokoll 1997 Dezember 11 (DE-588)4576278-8 gnd rswk-swf Klimaänderung Politik Umweltpolitik Umweltschutz Climatic changes / Government policy Climatic changes Environmental policy Environmental protection / International cooperation Emissionsverringerung (DE-588)4113432-1 gnd rswk-swf Internationale Politik (DE-588)4072885-7 gnd rswk-swf Klimaänderung (DE-588)4164199-1 gnd rswk-swf Treibhausgas (DE-588)4438735-0 gnd rswk-swf Anthropogene Klimaänderung (DE-588)4290733-0 gnd rswk-swf Umweltpolitik (DE-588)4078523-3 gnd rswk-swf Klimaschutz (DE-588)7547705-1 gnd rswk-swf Internationale Kooperation (DE-588)4120503-0 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Rahmenübereinkommen der Vereinten Nationen über Klimaänderungen Kyoto-Protokoll 1997 Dezember 11 (DE-588)4576278-8 u Klimaänderung (DE-588)4164199-1 s Internationale Politik (DE-588)4072885-7 s Umweltpolitik (DE-588)4078523-3 s 2\p DE-604 Anthropogene Klimaänderung (DE-588)4290733-0 s Treibhausgas (DE-588)4438735-0 s Emissionsverringerung (DE-588)4113432-1 s Internationale Kooperation (DE-588)4120503-0 s 3\p DE-604 Klimaschutz (DE-588)7547705-1 s 4\p DE-604 Aldy, Joseph E. edt Stavins, R.
