Zusammenfassung: | The first edition of Global Crises, Global Solutions was nominated as one of the books of the year by The Economist in 2004. This second edition asks: if we had more money to spend to help the world's poorest people, where could we spend it most effectively? Using a common framework of cost-benefit analysis a team of leading economists, including five Nobel prize winners, assess the attractiveness of a wide range of policy options for combating ten of the world's biggest problems: Air pollution, Conflicts, Diseases, Education, Global Warming, Malnutrition and Hunger, Sanitation and Clean Water, Subsidies and Trade Barriers, Terrorism, Women and Development. The arguments are clearly presented and fully referenced so that readers are encouraged to make their own evaluation of the menu of policy options on offer. Whether you agree or disagree with the economists' conclusions, there is a wealth of data and ideas to discuss and debate |

Whether you agree or disagree with the economists' conclusions, there is a wealth of data and ideas to discuss and debate Globalisierung Umwelt Wirtschaftsentwicklung Wirtschaftspolitik International cooperation Globalization Economic development Economic policy Economic development / Environmental aspects Wirtschaftsentwicklung (DE-588)4066438-7 gnd rswk-swf Armut (DE-588)4002963-3 gnd rswk-swf Klimaänderung (DE-588)4164199-1 gnd rswk-swf Weltwirtschaft (DE-588)4065468-0 gnd rswk-swf Wasserversorgung (DE-588)4064811-4 gnd rswk-swf Umweltpolitik (DE-588)4078523-3 gnd rswk-swf Weltproblematik (DE-588)4357931-0 gnd rswk-swf Kosten-Nutzen-Analyse (DE-588)4032589-1 gnd rswk-swf Problemlösen (DE-588)4076358-4 gnd rswk-swf Internationale Kooperation (DE-588)4120503-0 gnd rswk-swf Globalisierung (DE-588)4557997-0 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift 2004 Kopenhagen gnd-content Weltwirtschaft (DE-588)4065468-0 s Umweltpolitik (DE-588)4078523-3 s Armut (DE-588)4002963-3 s Klimaänderung (DE-588)4164199-1 s Wasserversorgung (DE-588)4064811-4 s Wirtschaftsentwicklung (DE-588)4066438-7 s Internationale Kooperation (DE-588)4120503-0 s 2\p DE-604 Globalisierung (DE-588)4557997-0 s Weltproblematik (DE-588)4357931-0 s Problemlösen (DE-588)4076358-4 s Kosten-Nutzen-Analyse (DE-588)4032589-1 s 3\p DE-604 Lomborg, Bjørn 1965- edt Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-51721-8 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-74122-4 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511807633 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
