Zusammenfassung: | How does Luke's portrait of the outsider help in exploring the theology and historiography of Acts? Previous studies of the author and his work have concentrated on the speeches given by insiders - members of the early Christian church - but until now the speeches of the outsiders have been marginalised by scholars in the field. Osvaldo Padilla takes an intriguing approach by concentrating on the direct speech of such figures, arguing that the portrayal of outsiders to a religious movement should not be neglected when considering the author's viewpoint. By exploring the place of outsiders in Old Testament and Second Temple literature, then offering comparisons with the depictions found in Acts, Padilla provides an insightful take on the subject that will prove invaluable to scholars and students of biblical and early Christian studies |

By exploring the place of outsiders in Old Testament and Second Temple literature, then offering comparisons with the depictions found in Acts, Padilla provides an insightful take on the subject that will prove invaluable to scholars and students of biblical and early Christian studies Bible / Acts / Criticism, interpretation, etc Bibel Apostelgeschichte (DE-588)4129470-1 gnd rswk-swf Bibel Outsiders in the Bible Nichtchrist (DE-588)4115385-6 gnd rswk-swf Rede (DE-588)4048882-2 gnd rswk-swf Außenseiter (DE-588)4134557-5 gnd rswk-swf Rhetorik (DE-588)4076704-8 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4113937-9 Hochschulschrift gnd-content Bibel Apostelgeschichte (DE-588)4129470-1 u Außenseiter (DE-588)4134557-5 s Rede (DE-588)4048882-2 s 2\p DE-604 Nichtchrist (DE-588)4115385-6 s 3\p DE-604 Rhetorik (DE-588)4076704-8 s 4\p DE-604 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-17532-6 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-89981-9 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511488146 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
