Zusammenfassung: | The Origins of the Stalinist Political System offers new and challenging perspectives on Soviet political development from October 1917 until the outbreak of war in June 1941. Explanations of the emergence of a Stalinist political system have hitherto concentrated upon either impersonal factors, such as economic backwardness and the process of bureaucratisation, or Stalin the political actor and the intricacies of elite conflict. Graeme Gill examines the relationship between institutional structures and the conventions, which are created to shape the activities of individuals and considers centre/periphery relations. He divides this period into four sequential but distinct political systems and examines how the patterns of these relationships shaped the course of development to 1941. This book incorporates a great deal of new material. It will become essential reading for specialists in, and students of Soviet history with special reference to politics under Stalin, the 1920s and the 1930s |

The Origins of the Stalinist Political System offers new and challenging perspectives on Soviet political development from October 1917 until the outbreak of war in June 1941. It will become essential reading for specialists in, and students of Soviet history with special reference to politics under Stalin, the 1920s and the 1930s Stalin, Joseph / 1878-1953 Stalin, Josif Vissarionovič 1878-1953 (DE-588)118642499 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1917-1953 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1917-1941 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1936-1953 gnd rswk-swf Politik Stalinismus (DE-588)4056883-0 gnd rswk-swf Politisches System (DE-588)4046584-6 gnd rswk-swf Sowjetunion Soviet Union / Politics and government / 1917-1936 Soviet Union / Politics and government / 1936-1953 Sowjetunion (DE-588)4077548-3 gnd rswk-swf Sowjetunion (DE-588)4077548-3 g Politisches System (DE-588)4046584-6 s Geschichte 1917-1941 z 1\p DE-604 Geschichte 1917-1953 z 2\p DE-604 Geschichte 1936-1953 z 3\p DE-604 Stalinismus (DE-588)4056883-0 s 4\p DE-604 Stalin, Josif Vissarionovič 1878-1953 (DE-588)118642499 p 5\p DE-604 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-38266-3 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-52936-5 Cambridge Russian, Soviet and post-Soviet studies 74 (DE-604)BV047656102 74 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511523601 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 5\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
