Zusammenfassung: | This book is an unprecedented attempt to analyze the role of the law in the global movement for social justice. Case studies in the book are written by leading scholars from both the global South and the global North, and combine empirical research on the ground with innovative sociolegal theory to shed new light on a wide array of topics. Among the issues examined are the role of law and politics in the World Social Forum; the struggle of the anti-sweatshop movement for the protection of international labour rights; and the challenge to neoliberal globalization and liberal human rights raised by grassroots movements in India and indigenous peoples around the world. These and other cases, the editors argue, signal the emergence of a subaltern cosmopolitan law and politics that calls for new social and legal theories capable of capturing the potential and tensions of counter-hegemonic globalization |

These and other cases, the editors argue, signal the emergence of a subaltern cosmopolitan law and politics that calls for new social and legal theories capable of capturing the potential and tensions of counter-hegemonic globalization Globalisierung Sociological jurisprudence Globalization Recht (DE-588)4048737-4 gnd rswk-swf Internationalisierung (DE-588)4162106-2 gnd rswk-swf Soziale Gerechtigkeit (DE-588)4236433-4 gnd rswk-swf Internationales Recht (DE-588)4027447-0 gnd rswk-swf Globalisierung (DE-588)4557997-0 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Internationales Recht (DE-588)4027447-0 s Globalisierung (DE-588)4557997-0 s Soziale Gerechtigkeit (DE-588)4236433-4 s 2\p DE-604 Internationalisierung (DE-588)4162106-2 s Recht (DE-588)4048737-4 s 3\p DE-604 Rodríguez Garavito, César A. edt Santos, Boaventura de Sousa edt Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-60735-3 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-84540-3 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511494093 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
