Zusammenfassung: | Traumatic Pasts, originally published in 2001, offers a variety of perspectives on mental trauma in war, medicine, culture and society in modern European and American history. Its primary goals are: to provide a generous sampling of the best of the historical scholarship about trauma; to indicate the empirical, analytical and methodological scope of this work; and to present some of the conceptual and methodological issues inherent in writing about the subject. The book operates on the premise that the historical humanities have something crucially important to say about trauma; its essays may be read, in part, as attempts to introduce a deep historical dimension into ongoing debates and controversies. However, it is important to stress that these essays are not simply addressed the concerns; rather, they reflect a shared conviction that trauma opens up fresh perspectives in the study of social and cultural history |

Micale, Paul Lerner Cambridge Cambridge University Press 2001 1 online resource (xiv, 316 pages) txt rdacontent c rdamedia cr rdacarrier Cambridge studies in the history of medicine Title from publisher's bibliographic system (viewed on 05 Oct 2015) Traumatic Pasts, originally published in 2001, offers a variety of perspectives on mental trauma in war, medicine, culture and society in modern European and American history. However, it is important to stress that these essays are not simply addressed the concerns; rather, they reflect a shared conviction that trauma opens up fresh perspectives in the study of social and cultural history Geschichte 1900-2000 Geschichte 1800-1900 Sozialgeschichte 1870-2000 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1870-2000 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1870-1930 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte Psychic trauma / History Psychiatry / History / 19th century Psychiatry / History / 20th century Trauma (DE-588)4060748-3 gnd rswk-swf Sozialer Wandel (DE-588)4077587-2 gnd rswk-swf Psychisches Trauma (DE-588)4060749-5 gnd rswk-swf Psychiatrie (DE-588)4047667-4 gnd rswk-swf Wissenschaftsentwicklung (DE-588)4079355-2 gnd rswk-swf Europa (DE-588)4015701-5 gnd rswk-swf USA (DE-588)4078704-7 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content 2\p (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift gnd-content USA (DE-588)4078704-7 g Psychisches Trauma (DE-588)4060749-5 s Psychiatrie (DE-588)4047667-4 s Wissenschaftsentwicklung (DE-588)4079355-2 s Sozialer Wandel (DE-588)4077587-2 s Geschichte 1870-2000 z 3\p DE-604 Europa (DE-588)4015701-5 g 4\p DE-604 Sozialgeschichte 1870-2000 z 5\p DE-604 6\p DE-604 Geschichte 1870-1930 z 7\p DE-604 Trauma (DE-588)4060748-3 s 8\p DE-604 Micale, Mark S. 1957- (DE-588)133754081 edt Lerner, Paul Frederick 1966- (DE-588)129177989 edt Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-14208-3 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-58365-7 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511529252 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 5\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 6\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 7\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 8\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
