Zusammenfassung: | Semantic interpretation and the resolution of ambiguity presents an important advance in computer understanding of natural language. While parsing techniques have been greatly improved in recent years, the approach to semantics has generally improved in recent years, the approach to semantics has generally been ad hoc and had little theoretical basis. Graeme Hirst offers a new, theoretically motivated foundation for conceptual analysis by computer, and shows how this framework facilitates the resolution of lexical and syntactic ambiguities. His approach is interdisciplinary, drawing on research in computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, montague semantics, and cognitive psychology |

spelling | Hirst, Graeme Verfasser aut Semantic interpretation and the resolution of ambiguity Graeme Hirst Semantic Interpretation & the Resolution of Ambiguity Cambridge Cambridge University Press 1987 1 online resource (xiv, 263 pages) txt rdacontent c rdamedia cr rdacarrier Studies in natural language processing Title from publisher's bibliographic system (viewed on 05 Oct 2015) Semantic interpretation and the resolution of ambiguity presents an important advance in computer understanding of natural language. His approach is interdisciplinary, drawing on research in computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, montague semantics, and cognitive psychology Datenverarbeitung Semantics / Data processing Ambiguity / Data processing Psycholinguistics / Data processing Computerlinguistik (DE-588)4035843-4 gnd rswk-swf Sprachverarbeitung (DE-588)4116579-2 gnd rswk-swf Künstliche Intelligenz (DE-588)4033447-8 gnd rswk-swf Ambiguität (DE-588)4138525-1 gnd rswk-swf Semantik (DE-588)4054490-4 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4113937-9 Hochschulschrift gnd-content Ambiguität (DE-588)4138525-1 s Semantik (DE-588)4054490-4 s Computerlinguistik (DE-588)4035843-4 s 2\p DE-604 Sprachverarbeitung (DE-588)4116579-2 s 3\p DE-604 Künstliche Intelligenz (DE-588)4033447-8 s 4\p DE-604 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-32203-4 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-0-521-42898-9 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9780511554346 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
