Zusammenfassung:In the book 'An inopportune cup of tea', Amir Hossein Fetanat narrates the hostage taking of the Crown Prince of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, after forty years; this narration reveals the character of a SAVAK agent. Behind the scene of taking Pahlavi royal family hostage according to IBNA correspondent, the back cover of the author's biography reads: "Amir Hossein Fetanat was born in 1949 in Shiraz. He graduated in Civil Engineering from Pahlavi University and got an M.A. in Management from the industrial management organization in Tehran. As a teenager, he was sentenced to two years in prison on charges of hijacking, and upon the victory of the Islamic Revolution was sentenced to death in absentia by Marxist groups on charges of treason, in one of the most controversial political cases at the time of the Mohammad Reza Shah called ‘the plot to take the crown prince hostage and assassinate the members of the Royal Family". The author talks with suspicion about the hostage taking scheme and the leaking of people related to the incident and writes: "Everybody, except for I, believed that the Crown Prince was to be taken hostage. With the rise of the Iranian revolution and the anti-Shah sentiments, the released members of the group pretended to be champions with a handful of professional revolutionary speeches, which was simply fabricated and condemned me instead."
