Zusammenfassung: | Interrogating the concepts of allegiance and identity in a globalised world involves renewing our understanding of membership and participation within and beyond the nation-state. Allegiance can be used to define a singular national identity and common connection to a nation-state. In a global context, however, we need more dynamic conceptions to understand the importance of maintaining diversity and building allegiance with others outside borders. Understanding how allegiance and identity are being reconfigured today provides valuable insights into important contemporary debates around citizenship. This book reveals how public and international law understand allegiance and identity. Each involves viewing the nation-state as fundamental to concepts of allegiance and identity, but they also see the world slightly differently. With contributions from philosophers, political scientists and social psychologists, the result is a thorough appraisal of allegiance and identity in a range of socio-legal contexts |

With contributions from philosophers, political scientists and social psychologists, the result is a thorough appraisal of allegiance and identity in a range of socio-legal contexts Öffentliches Recht (DE-588)4043181-2 gnd rswk-swf Politische Beteiligung (DE-588)4076215-4 gnd rswk-swf Nationalbewusstsein (DE-588)4041282-9 gnd rswk-swf Völkerrecht (DE-588)4063693-8 gnd rswk-swf Nationalstaat (DE-588)4041331-7 gnd rswk-swf Globalisierung (DE-588)4557997-0 gnd rswk-swf Staatsangehörigkeit (DE-588)4056630-4 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift 2010 Canberra gnd-content Globalisierung (DE-588)4557997-0 s Nationalstaat (DE-588)4041331-7 s Staatsangehörigkeit (DE-588)4056630-4 s Nationalbewusstsein (DE-588)4041282-9 s Politische Beteiligung (DE-588)4076215-4 s Öffentliches Recht (DE-588)4043181-2 s Völkerrecht (DE-588)4063693-8 s 2\p DE-604 Jenkins, Fiona edt Nolan, Mark edt Rubenstein, Kim edt Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-1-107-07433-0 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-1-107-42537-8 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9781139696654 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
