Zusammenfassung: | With the first major presentation of Op Art and Kinetic Art in Scandinavia for more than 50 years, Louisiana opens the door to a visual experimental laboratory with the whole range of media and techniques. 'Op Art' is an abbreviation of Optical Art and describes works which use ingeniously crafted optical illusions and effects that go straight to the core of our visual sensory apparatus. The movement had its inception in the middle of the 1950s and its glory days in the 1960s, when it established itself internationally across political and cultural contexts. The artists were preoccupied with science, the psychology of perception and the new technology of the time ? and turned their backs on old-fashioned storytelling and romantic sensitivity. While Kinetic and Optical Art originate from a particular time, the results are surprisingly timeless, and the movement has left striking marks in contemporary visual art and culture. The direct appeal to the senses is unabated ? and is effective today in a mixture of instant fascination and nostalgia.00With around 100 works and more than 40 artists, including Hungarian Victor Vasarely and English Bridget Riley in two of the main roles, the exhibition opens the door to a visual experimental laboratory with the whole range of media and techniques |

The direct appeal to the senses is unabated ? and is effective today in a mixture of instant fascination and nostalgia.00With around 100 works and more than 40 artists, including Hungarian Victor Vasarely and English Bridget Riley in two of the main roles, the exhibition opens the door to a visual experimental laboratory with the whole range of media and techniques Cruz Diez, Carlos 1923-2019 (DE-588)119328682 gnd rswk-swf Olafur Eliasson 1967- (DE-588)119453959 gnd rswk-swf Armleder, John M. 1948- (DE-588)11909696X gnd rswk-swf Morellet, François 1926-2016 (DE-588)118736841 gnd rswk-swf Riis Andersen, Julie 1988- (DE-588)1095253972 gnd rswk-swf Mack, Heinz 1931- (DE-588)118729918 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1950-1970 gnd rswk-swf Optical art / Exhibitions Kinetic art / Exhibitions Visual perception Optical illusions Perspective Kinetische Kunst (DE-588)4163883-9 gnd rswk-swf Op-art (DE-588)4121424-9 gnd rswk-swf (DE-588)4135467-9 Ausstellungskatalog gnd-content (DE-588)4135467-9 Ausstellungskatalog Louisiana Museum of Modern Art 04.02.2016-05.06.2016 Humlebaek gnd-content Op-art (DE-588)4121424-9 s Kinetische Kunst (DE-588)4163883-9 s Geschichte 1950-1970 z DE-604 Cruz Diez, Carlos 1923-2019 (DE-588)119328682 p Mack, Heinz 1931- (DE-588)118729918 p Morellet, François 1926-2016 (DE-588)118736841 p Armleder, John M. 1948- (DE-588)11909696X p Olafur Eliasson 1967- (DE-588)119453959 p Riis Andersen, Julie 1988- (DE-588)1095253972 p Jørgensen, Lærke Rydal edt Holm, Michael Juul 1960- (DE-588)131806483 edt Colstrup, Tine (DE-588)133344219X edt Degel, Kirsten edt Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (DE-588)2069482-9 isb Parallele Sprachausgabe dänisch Eye attack : op art og kinetisk kunst : 1950-1970 (DE-604)BV043486013 |
