Zusammenfassung: | "The governance arrangements put in place for Siberia and Mongolia after the collapse of the Qing and Russian Empires were highly unusual, experimental and extremely interesting. The Buryat-Mongol Autonomous Socialist Soviet Republic established within the Soviet Union in 1923 and the independent Mongolian People's Republic established a year later were supposed to represent a new model of transnational, post-national governance, incorporating religious and ethno-national independence, under the leadership of the coming global political party, the Communist International. The model, designed to be suitable for a socialist, decolonised Asia, and for a highly diverse population in a strategic border region, was intended to be globally applicable. This book, based on extensive original research, charts the development of these unusual governance arrangements, discusses how the ideologies of nationalism, socialism and Buddhism were borrowed from, and highlights the relevance of the subject for the present day world, where multiculturality, interconnectedness and interdependency become ever more complicated"...Provided by publisher |

This book, based on extensive original research, charts the development of these unusual governance arrangements, discusses how the ideologies of nationalism, socialism and Buddhism were borrowed from, and highlights the relevance of the subject for the present day world, where multiculturality, interconnectedness and interdependency become ever more complicated"...Provided by publisher Geschichte 1900-2000 Geschichte 1911-1924 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte Nationalismus Politik Buddhism and state Russia (Federation) Siberia History 20th century Buddhism and state Mongolia History 20th century Socialism Russia (Federation) Siberia History 20th century Socialism Mongolia History 20th century Nationalism Russia (Federation) Siberia History 20th century Nationalism Mongolia History 20th century Nation-building History 20th century Autonomy History 20th century Herrschaft (DE-588)4024596-2 gnd rswk-swf Autonomie (DE-588)4003974-2 gnd rswk-swf Staat (DE-588)4056618-3 gnd rswk-swf Siberia (Russia) Politics and government 20th century Mongolia Politics and government 20th century Mongolei (DE-588)4040056-6 gnd rswk-swf Sibirien (DE-588)4054780-2 gnd rswk-swf (DE-588)4113937-9 Hochschulschrift gnd-content Sibirien (DE-588)4054780-2 g Mongolei (DE-588)4040056-6 g Autonomie (DE-588)4003974-2 s Staat (DE-588)4056618-3 s Herrschaft (DE-588)4024596-2 s Geschichte 1911-1924 z DE-604 Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe 978-1-315-66771-3 Routledge studies in the history of Russia and Eastern Europe 24 (DE-604)BV026581378 24 LoC Fremddatenuebernahme application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=028648259&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis |
