Using a form of reader-response theory, Kissling examines the assumption that these characters are primary vehicles of the narrator's point of view. In three of the four cases it is concluded that traditional idealistic assumptions do not do justice to the textual evidence in its final form. The work calls upon the reader to consider the subtlety of the means used in portraying these heroes and gives evidence for the decidedly negative aspects in their portrayals |

Using a form of reader-response theory, Kissling examines the assumption that these characters are primary vehicles of the narrator's point of view. In three of the four cases it is concluded that traditional idealistic assumptions do not do justice to the textual evidence in its final form. The work calls upon the reader to consider the subtlety of the means used in portraying these heroes and gives evidence for the decidedly negative aspects in their portrayals Moïse / (Chef biblique) Josué / (Personnage biblique) Élie / (Prophète biblique) Élisée / (Prophète biblique) Elijah / (Biblical prophet) fast Elisha / (Biblical prophet) fast Moses / (Biblical leader) fast Moses (Biblical leader) Elijah (Biblical prophet) Elisha (Biblical prophet) Elija (DE-588)118529811 gnd rswk-swf Mose Biblische Person (DE-588)118641190 gnd rswk-swf Elischa Prophet (DE-588)118688685 gnd rswk-swf Josua Biblische Person (DE-588)118640011 gnd rswk-swf Bible Deuteronomy Criticism, interpretation, etc Bible Joshua Criticism, interpretation, etc Bible Kings Criticism, interpretation, etc Moses Bible / A.T. / Deutéronome / Critique, interprétation, etc Bible / A.T. / Josué / Critique, interprétation, etc Bible / A.T. / Rois / Critique, interprétation, etc RELIGION / Biblical Biography / Old Testament bisacsh Bible / Deuteronomy fast Bible / Joshua fast Bible / Kings fast Verteltheorie gtt Oude Testament gtt Bibel Bibel.
