The individual species are arranged in alphabetical order using their common name. However a Quickfind index is provided at the front of the book to enable those familiar with scientific names to go directly to any specific species. The text on each species has clear, precise information and is presented in such a way, so as to make of value to readers from the layperson, naturalist through to the scientist. Indeed anyone who may have an interest in learning more about Australian mammals.
