In the spring of 2000 I started this project and began to collect data and conduct interviews. I copied every article I could find in the Journal of Visual Impairment and Blindness and its predecessors Outlook for the Blind and New Outlook for the Blind. I was fortunate to locate Blindness the annual publication of the American Association of Workers for the Blind. One of the greatest finds was the library at the American Foundation for the Blind. The library contains dozens of volumes related to orientation and mobility. Within two years I had amassed a considerable collection of resources. I began working through the materials and along the way prepared some papers for various conferences. A dramatic increase in administrative responsibilities, as well as the tyranny of meeting grant deadlines, diverted me from giving concentrated effort to this book. All that changed as I reduced my workload in order to devote almost all my efforts over the past nine months to this project Includes bibliographical references (p. 143-148) |

143-148) Blindheit swd Mobilität swd Blinder swd Diskriminierung swd SOCIAL SCIENCE / People with Disabilities bisacsh Blind / Orientation and mobility fast Blind / Services for fast Discrimination against people with disabilities fast Orientation and mobility instructors fast Geschichte Blind Orientation and mobility United States History Blind Services for United States History Orientation and mobility instructors United States History Discrimination against people with disabilities United States History Mobilität (DE-588)4039785-3 gnd rswk-swf Blinder Mensch (DE-588)4140402-6 gnd rswk-swf Blindheit (DE-588)4007150-9 gnd rswk-swf Diskriminierung (DE-588)4012472-1 gnd rswk-swf USA Blinder Mensch (DE-588)4140402-6 s Diskriminierung (DE-588)4012472-1 s 1\p DE-604 Blindheit (DE-588)4007150-9 s Mobilität (DE-588)4039785-3 s 2\p DE-604 http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&db=nlabk&AN=470311 Aggregator Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
