Beschreibung: | Drake, M. Almanacs, 6523. - Except for the title page, the almanac is identical throughout in contents and typography with: Hutchins' revived almanac, for the year of our Lord, 1819 (Shaw & Shoemaker 44403), also by David Young, and also printed by Charles N. Baldwin. - Page [29] includes an advertisement by Elam Bliss, bookseller and stationer, p. [30] an advertisement by the author, and p. [31] an advertisement by Grant Thorburn, "seedsman and florist." Steamboat schedules appear on p. [30] and [33]. - Shaw & Shoemaker, 45065. - The calculations and notes on the calendar pages, and the eclipse predictions (with some abbreviation), duplicate those in David Young's Citizen & farmer's almanac for 1819 (Shaw & Shoemaker 43623), which is calculated for the meridian of Morristown, New Jersey; except that a column for the sun's declination replaces one for the moon's southing. - Title vignette. The Anatomy is the only other illustration |
