Beschreibung:"Errors."--p. 36. - "Note.--It was intended ... to shew, that the British board of trade had, at length, undertaken to regulate our commerce with foreign nations, even when it did not pass through British ports. The paper intended to be offered as evidence of this fact, was then mislaid. It is now subjoined for that purpose. ..."--p. 35-36. - "The speech of Mr. Giles is the most luminious [sic], the most able, and complete defence of the embargo, which we have seen. In fact, he clearly proves, that it is the best measure in the power of the government to adopt, consistent with the true interests of the country ..."--p. [2]. This statement is presumably by Charles Shepherd, publisher of the Anti-monarchist and Republican watchman, Northampton, Mass. - C. Sawtell was printer of the Anti-monarchist and Republican watchman from Dec. 14, 1808, when the first volume was published, to Dec. 1809. - Shaw & Shoemaker, 15111
