505 | 8 | |a Efforts to improve mathematics education have led educators and researchers to not only study the nature of proficiency, beliefs, and practices in mathematics learning and teaching, but also identify and assess possible influences on students and teachers proficiencies, beliefs, and practices in learning and teaching mathematics. The complexity of these topics has fascinated researchers from various back grounds, including psychologists, cognitive or learning scientists, mathematicians, and mathematics educators. Among those researchers, two scholars with a similar background Alan Schoenfeld in the United States and Günter Törner in Germany, are internationally recognized for their contributions to these topics. To celebrate their 65th birthdays in 2012, this book brought together many scholars to reflect on how their own work has built upon and continued Alan and Gunter's work in mathematics education. The book contains 17 chapters by 33 scholars from six different education systems. This collection describes recent research and provides new insights into these topics of interest to mathematics educators, researchers, and graduate students who wish to learn about the trajectory and direction of research on these issues | |

Schoenfeld Efforts to improve mathematics education have led educators and researchers to not only study the nature of proficiency, beliefs, and practices in mathematics learning and teaching, but also identify and assess possible influences on students and teachers proficiencies, beliefs, and practices in learning and teaching mathematics. This collection describes recent research and provides new insights into these topics of interest to mathematics educators, researchers, and graduate students who wish to learn about the trajectory and direction of research on these issues With bibliographical references and index Education MATHEMATICS / Essays bisacsh MATHEMATICS / Pre-Calculus bisacsh MATHEMATICS / Reference bisacsh Mathematics / Study and teaching fast Erziehung Mathematik Mathematics Study and teaching Mathematikunterricht (DE-588)4037949-8 gnd rswk-swf (DE-588)4016928-5 Festschrift gnd-content Mathematikunterricht (DE-588)4037949-8 s 1\p DE-604 Li, Yeping (DE-588)1059557517 edt Moschkovich, Judit N. edt Schoenfeld, Alan H. hnr Törner, Günter 1947- (DE-588)1115742663 hnr Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe, Paperback 94-6209-297-4 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe, Paperback 978-94-6209-297-6 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe, Hardcover 94-6209-298-2 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe, Hardcover 978-94-6209-298-3 Mathematics teaching and learning 1 (DE-604)BV043589159 1 http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&db=nlabk&AN=643864 Aggregator Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
