| Beschreibung: | Wir legen hiermit eine neue, die vierte Auflage der "Einflußfelder elastischer Platten" vor, veranlaßt durch das anhaltend rege Interesse, das das Buch nach wie vor findet und das sich nicht zuletzt in einer Reihe von Anfragen, Wünschen und Vorschlagen, die uns seit Erscheinen der dritten Auflage zugegangen sind, äußerte. Alle Verbesserungsvorschläge wurden gewissenhaft geprüft, zum größten Teil noch von Herrn Professor PUCHER selbst, der 1968 verstorben ist. Alle Korrekturen, die sich daraus ergaben, wurden in der vorliegenden vierten Auflage berücksichtigt. Wir möchten an dieser Stelle allen jenen danken, die durch ihre Mithilfe und ihre Aufmerksamkeit manche Verbesserung ermöglicht und damit zum Zustandekommen dieser Neuauflage beigetragen haben. Insbesondere danken wir Herrn Professor Dr We herewith present a new edition, the fourth, of "Influence Surfaces of Elastic Plates", encouraged by the lively interest the book continues to arouse. We have received a number of queries, wishes and suggestions since the third edition came out; all of these were carefully examined, most of them by Professor PUCHER himself before his death in 1968. All the corrections arising from this work have been incorporated in the fourth edition. We should like to take this opportunity to thank all those whose alertness and cooperation contributed to these improvements and hence to the appearance of this new edition.
