Über die schon genauer analysierten antik-humanistischen Voraussetzungen in der Theorie (Rhetorik, Poetik) hinaus wird vor allem die Verankerung im Bildungswesen des 17. Jahrhunderts gezeigt: protestantische Gelehrtenschule, Jesuitenkolleg, Adelserziehung, Universitätsunterricht.
