Von besonderem Interesse sind Faktoren, die die genannten Prozesse beeinflussen. Individuenspezifische Größen ergeben sich mit den Zielen, der Motivation oder dem Status des Wissenschaftlers. Die Darstellung stützt sich auf empirische Daten und ist interdisziplinär orientiert.
