"komisch-realistische" Lyrik) des Duecento als Dichtung mittleren oder niederen Stils im Sinne der Artes poetriae von Galfrid bis Dante wird hier widerlegt: Themen und rhetorische Gestaltung lassen sich mit den Empfehlungen der Poetiken nicht in Einklang bringen. Auch die komischen Passagen der »Commedia« sind mit diesen Begriffen nicht zu fassen.
