| Beschreibung: | Main description: Die Studie erarbeitet Lösungen für das Problem des sprachwissenschaftlichen Umgangs mit der Schrift aus einer neuen, sich aus dem Handlungscharakter der Schrift ergebenden Perspektive. Die Leitthese ist, dass Schrift nicht in Konkurrenz zur Sprache steht, sondern ein Teil von ihr ist. Sprechen und Schreiben sind gleichermaßen Handlungen, die einen Handlungssinn haben. Die technische und die praktische Sprachhandlung liegen jenseits der Systemebene in der Einheit der Sprache. Sowohl in der Mündlichkeit wie in der Schriftlichkeit gibt es Technik und Praxis.
