Summary
The title of this book is Our Kraja / Searchings and
Invitations, and it comprises of nine integral chapters.
The first major chapter is The students’ club
“Shqiponjat” (Eagles). This was a club of students from
Kraja, that was founded in Prishtina, in 1970. This group of
students were organized and had a very specific purpose: to
help their birth place (Kraja), their fellow contrymen. They
had various activities, and among of the first ones was the
massive meetning in Ostros, the centre of Kraja, in January,
20, 1971. In this massive meeting students expressed their
critical attitudes and the new ideas about the social,
educational and economic problems in the region. There were
a lot of people who participated in this meeting.
The second chapter is A request and petition for Albanian
education in Shestan. It is about the desire of Albanian people
of Shestan to have the primary education in their mother
tongue. This request was supported by a special pettition
signed by around 300 citizens of the Shestan’s willages. They
wanted to have the right on primary education in the Albanian
language, but their request was never fulfilled.
The sequel chapter of this book is From the trajectory of
the education in Kraja. This is the third chapter of this book.
This is the chronological development of the trajectory of
education and schools in Kraja, from the beginning to the
recent time. The substance of this chapter has a lot of dates,
events, institutions and personalities, very important for the
education in Kraja

Follows the fourth chapter, The penetration of the
Serbian Orthodox Church in Kraja. This chapter deals with
the paradoxicall efforts of the Serbian Orthodox Church,
respectively the usurpation and serbianisation of some
important cultural and sacral objects in Kraja such the
usurpation of the ruins of Kraja’s Saint Maria church, and the
ruins of some mediaval sacral objects on isles of Shkodra
Lake, the usurpation and serbianisation of Saint John Vladimir
of Kraja, the holy mount of Rumia, and the establishing of the
Serbian church “Sveta Trojica” (Holy Trinity) at the top of the
mount of Rumia, etc.
The fifth chapter deals with an onomastic question,
Rumia, the oroname of Albanian origin. There are many
opinions about the origin of the name of Rumia mount. In my
opinion this oroname is of Albanian origin, from “Saint
Mount.” This opinion is based on the Venetian map of 1571,
where can find the name of the Mount of MALICHA
(mali+cha) meaning “Saint Mount,” that Ottoman
administration named Romane (Rumia), the mount of roman
religion.
Follows some particularly curiosities, titled Tracks and
curiosities from Kraja (the sixth chapter), Legend of the Cross
(the seventh chapter), Vranina epik (the eight chapter), By a
miracle (the nine chapter).
At the end of this book, there is my appeal: Don’t sell our
Kraja. Kraja is my birth place. The birth place can not be sold.
I appeal to the conscience of my fellow countrymen: Don’t sell
our Kraja. Kraja without her residential inhabitans is not or can
not be the true Kraja.
